Cortown turned in a good battling performance and were worthy winners of this Division 2 FL game against Seneschalstown.
They home side were never headed in the game and started off by scoring the first four points. The game was played in a very competitive spirit with both teams warming up for the coming Championship.
Cortown benefited from some good scores particularly by Gary Coyne from a very sharp angle, and one from Martin Henry following a good flowing move.

St. Colmcille's led for the majority of the contest and strolled to an easy B FL Div. 2 victory over Seneschalstown on Sunday. Paul Garry's goal kept Seneschalstown's slim hopes alive as they trailed by 1-2 to 0-9.

The campaign for the Meath Senior Ladies League started today for Seneschalstown and Moylough in Kilskyre. The final score was Seneschalstown 7-16 to Moylough 4-4. At half time the score was 2-9(Seneschalstown) to 1-2(Moylough).

Playing with a strong wind Seneschalstown went into a big lead with goals from Jonathan Gilsenan, Aidan Finnegan and Gerard McHendry and points from Mark Gilsenan(0-2), Niall Sheehy and Sean McCabe.

Walterstown fought back well in the 2nd half but further scores from J Gilsenan(1-01) Anto Hewitt(1-0) and A Finnegan(1-0) helped Seneschalstown to hold out for a 4 point win. Best for winners were C Noonan, T Duggan, Tim Kiernan,A Finnegan, J Gilsenan.
