Defending champions Seneschalstown scored a comprehensive victory over 2006 finalists St. Ultans in the first round of the Meath SFC at Simonstown on
Sunday. St. Ultans started brightly and went ahead by two points however the Yellow Furze girls soon found their form with points from Stephanie Byrne, Aoife and Orla Sheridan and Laura Carey. Seneschalstown lost Adela Carolan in the early stages due to injury however goals from Eimear O' Carroll and Grainne Nulty laid the platform for a 2-6 to 0-2 half-time lead.
