AFL Div1
Skyrne 2-8 Seneschalstown 0-12
Meath substitute goalkeeper and Skryne's number one, Patrick O'Rourke, turned goal poacher on Wednesday of last week as he inspired the Tara men to a narrow A FL Div 1 victory over Seneschalstown.
A repeat of last year's league decider produced a hugely entertaining game as Skryne turned around a 0-4 to 0-8 interval deficit.
O'Rourke bagged the first of his two goals seven minutes after the restart and he edged Skryne ahead with a brace of points before Seneschalstown regained the initiative.
Senior Championship - 3rd Round
Fri 6th June O'Mahonys 1-17 Seneschalstown 0-10
Navan O'Mahonys maintained their unbeaten start in Group A of the Commons Hardware SFC with a double scores win over holders Seneschalstown at Pairc Tailteann on Friday evening.
The outcome is some measure of consolation for the Brews Hill side's loss to Seneschalstown in last year's SFC final replay but more importantly it keeps them on course for the business end of this year's championship with five points from three games to date.
