Senior - AFL Div 1 Dismissal proved too much a blow for the Stamullen men

AFL Div1

Seneschalstown 0-13 St.Patrick's 1-7
St Patrick's hopes of avoiding the drop in the Gunne Carnaross Mart Division 1 received a setback on their visit to Seneschalstown last Friday evening.

The dismissal of Niall Mooney shortly after he had dispatched a penalty to the net to reduce the Seneschalstown lead to the minimum proved too much a blow for the Stamullen men.

Three opening half points from Brian Sheridan helped the Yellow Furze outfit to a 0-5 to 0-3 interval lead. Ciaran Macken and Bryan Clarke were also on target for the home side in the first half.

Senior - Feis Cup 2008 Seneschalstown secure narrow win over Skyrne

Feis Cup

Skyrne 1-11 Seneschalstown 1-12

Ciaran Macken's goal three minutes from full-time proved to be the winning score for Seneschalstown as they maintained their bid to retain the Feis Cup with a narrow victory over Skryne at Dunsany on Thursday.

Skryne defeated Seneschalstown in the A FL Div 1 final last year, so Thursday's win was sweet revenge for Damien Sheridan's charges. The contest was close throughout and the sides were tied 0-6 each before Kevin Mulvaney's goal gave Skryne a 1-6 to 0-6 interval lead.

Summerhill 0-11 Seneschalstown 1-8
Hosts Summerhill were given an indication that their final SFC game against defending champions Seneschalstown won't be easy as the sides played out a draw on Sunday.

They were tied 0-6 each at half-time and despite grabbing a goal Seneschalstown couldn't pull away as Stephen Kennedy ensured Summerhill earned the draw.
