Following a disappointing defeat in the Leinster SFC Final two weeks previous Seneschalstown ladies completed the season on a winning note emerging worthy winners in this Feis Cup Final played at Skryne on Tuesday evening to claim their third piece of silverware this year having already won both the Division 1 League and Senior Championship titles in what was a very successful year for the club.

Competition favourites Portlaoise comfortably advanced to a last four meeting with Clara when easily defeating Seneschalstown in this AIB Leinster Club SFC quarter-final at O'Moore Park on Sunday afternoon.

Crowned Meath SFC champions just three days earlier, Seneschalstown lacked the necessary sharpness to seriously test the Laois men - who had a two-week break since their demolition of Mattock Rangers.

Captain Eleanor Lane was the hero in the Under 13 Division 1 Ladies final as Simonstown completed a heroic comeback with three mins to go in Ashbourne.

Simonstown dominated the first half and led by 0-5 to 0-2 at the interval, however the margin could have been bigger if they had taken the clear cut chances that came their way.

The first ever Meath SFC final to be played midweek and under floodlights was decided by two first-half goals inside a minute at the start of the second quarter as Seneschalstown saw off a strong rally from 14-man Wolfe Tones in the Commons Hardware SFC final replay at Pairc Tailteann on Thursday night.

Brian and Joe Sheridan were goalscorers as Seneschalstown claimed the Keegan Cup for the second time in three years and fourth in all.

A pointed free from Brian Sheridan in the last action of extra time ensured Seneschalstown finished level with Wolfe Tones in the Commons Hardware SFC final that had many talking points at Pairc Tailteann on Sunday.

The replay is set for Pairc Tailteann on Thursday night with the winners' due to play Portlaoise in the Leinster Club SFC next Sunday. The scores were tied on seven occasions over the 80 minutes including three in extra time.
