SENIOR LADIES DIV 1 FL ROUND 2

Wednesday 20th April 2011: Seneschalstown 4-17 Vs St.Ultan's 1-11

The clash of the titans of Meath Ladies football got underway for 2011 when Seneschalstown and St.Ultan's met in Round 2 of the Div 1 League last Wednesday in Seneschalstown. Seneschalstown Senior Ladies laid down the gauntlet for 2011 to the current County champions and this will make an exciting year for both teams in their preparation for the 2011 championship campaign.

This fifth round match in the girls under 12 championship played in ideal conditions in Seneschalstown on Friday last, was much tighter than the final scoreline suggests, it was only in the last ten minutes of the game that the Gaels pulled clear to gain a good victory over very tough opposition.

Note: Round 3 originally due to take place for weekend 20th May is brought forward to weekend 13th May.

Well done to the Meath Senior Ladies who qualified for the league final with a superb semi win over Kerry (1-11 to 0-11) Meath will tackle the Dubs in the final in Parnell Park on 7th May!!!!!

MERCY NAVAN WIN ALL-IRELAND SCHOOLS TITLE:
There were 4 club members on the victorious Mercy squad on Saturday when they defeated Presation College Athenry in Athlone. Congartualtions to Ruth Sheridan, Amy Gilsensan, Aisling Corcoran and Natasha Mullen on obtaining an All-Ireland Medal.

Seneschalstown got off to a winning start in the Junior B Championship as they defeated Blackhall Gaels in a close encounter in Dunsany on Sunday evening.

After last years last minute bitterly disappointing defeat to Skryne in the Senior Football Final, Seneschalstown were looking for a good start to there 2011 campaign. This was not to be as Dunshaughlin overcame a 5 point deficit at half time to defeat the Yellow Furze side by 4 points in Pairc Tailteann on Friday night.
