Seniors: The Senior football were defeated by Duleek Bellewstown in Round 2 of the Seamus Connolly Catering All County Football A League Division 1 on Sunday last on a scoreline of 2-12 to 0-09. It was a disappointing performance and the team will be looking to bounce back in Round 3 when they travel to take on St. Peter’s Dunboyne who have won their two games to date and are one of three teams on four points.

Seneschalstown 0-09 Duleek Bellewstown 2-12
Seneschalstown suffered a disappointing defeat to neighbours Duleek Bellewstown in Round 2 of Division 1 of the league today after turning in a flat display over the hour.
Following last week’s victory away to Oldcastle hopes were high as the teams emerged on to the pitch that Seneschalstown would make it four points out of four. However as events unfolded it soon became apparent that this would be unlikely.

Seneschalstown bounced back to winning ways in their Round 2 clash away to St. Patrick’s in Stamullen last night. Following their last gasp defeat to St. Michael’s in Round 1 this was a welcome result and ensured the first 2 points of the campaign for the youngsters from Yellow Furze and Kentstown.

Seniors: The Senior football team commenced their Seamus Connolly Catering All County Football A League Division 1 campaign on Sunday last with a trip to Millbrook to play Oldcastle. Following a tough battle over the hour the 2 points made their way back to the banks of the Boyne after we emerged victorious on a scoreline of 1-11 to 0-09. Jonathan Gilsenan top scored with 1-02 while Bryan Clarke, James Meade and Joe Sheridan notched 3 points apiece.
The fixture list for the Junior D panels league campaign commences with a home game against Clonard and concludes with an away game against Skryne. The full fixture list is as follows:

Seneschalstown travelled to Millbrook for their opening Division 1 league game of the season against Oldcastle eager to start the year off on a good note having slipped up when playing away to the same opposition last year. Following a tough battle over the hour, a relieved team emerged victorious by five points.

Last year was a very successful year on the pitch for our underage teams. At every level the players put in a huge effort whether in training or in games with everybody striving to do improve and to do their best.
On the afternoon of February 1st these teams were honoured, with Meath Senior Manager Mick O'Dowd presenting medals to the players and give encouragement to them with regards continuing to progress as footballers.
