Front Running Seneschalstown Progress

Feis Cup Semi-Final

Seneschalstown 2-12 Summerhill 1-10

In the midst of one of the most celebrated weeks in Irish Sport, the Galway Races, Seneschalstown and Summerhill clashed in Dunshaughlin where the occasional showers failed to affect the ground which could definitely be described as good. These two sides met in the league couple of weeks ago in an excellent match and all present on Wednesday evening came in anticipation of another good match as both teams were keen to reach the finishing post in front.

All County Football A League Division 1 Round 12

Na Fianna 0-14 Seneschalstown 1-11

The long journey over to Enfield at lunchtime on Sunday for the penultimate league game of the 2014 season saw Seneschalstown emerge with a share of the spoils after a keenly contested match played in excellent conditions. Na Fianna got off to the better start in both halves but the visitors were not prepared to lie down and thus the sparse crowd was treated to a fine game of football.

Late Scores Prove Costly

The recent run of positive results for Seneschalstown’s Senior side came to a halt on Saturday evening in Fr. Tully Park when a late fade out in the last ten minutes cost them two valuable League points. Leading by four points after forty nine minutes they failed to trouble the scoreboard for the remainder of the match as Dunshaughlin reeled off five points to claim victory following a very good match played in ideal conditions.

Seneschalstown 2-15 Walterstown 4-06

Seneschalstown’s Under 14s made the short trip to Walterstown on Wednesday to take on their hosts in Round 3 of the Summer League. Again, both teams served up a cracking game of football in the summer sunshine. And indeed it was the visitors who got off to the ideal start when Alan Mulvany fired high into the Walterstown net after only 4 minutes. The goal came after excellent tackling from Simon Rooney and an interchange of passes between Dylan Keating and team captain Cathal Hickey.

Howard's Point Secures Points

All County Football A League Division 1 Round 10

Seneschalstown 3-10 Summerhill 2-12

When the whistle sounded sixty two minutes into this match in Fr. Tully Park the sense of relief among the Seneschalstown players and supporters was palpable as their unbeaten run in all competitions stretched to six courtesy of a very late salvo which served up a goal and a point to secure victory by the minimum.
