U14 Girls Division 2 League Final Venue: Ratoath

Seneschalstown 0-07 St. Colmcilles 3-03

After losing their star full forward Mallaidh Breen to concussion during the week Seneschalstown U14 girls took to the field in Ratoath on Saturday evening against a seriously strong St. Colmcilles in the final of Division 2 league knowing that a huge performance was needed to cause an upset. This strong St. Colmcilles team had easily beaten the furze girls in the early stages of the league.

Féile Fundraiser

This year’s Féile for U-14 footballers all across Ireland takes place on the last weekend of June and thanks to their victory in the Meath Division 2 Féile Seneschalstown’s young footballers are off to Bunclody to take part. This is a massive occasion for all involved and indeed for the wider club as we haven’t had a side qualify for Féile since 1987 when they were hosted by the Tullamore club from May 8-10.

May 20th 2015 Seneschalstown GFC Notes

Strictly Come Dancing
Last Friday we held our third Strictly Come Dancing event in the Knightsbrook Hotel. Following months of organisation the event was a huge success with all fifteen couples wowing the judges. However there could only be one winner on the night and Eoin Battersby and Joyce McDonagh were the couple which came out on top after a scintillating display of dancing.

Our thanks to the organising committee who put on a brilliant night and to all who helped out in the venue.

U-14 Division 2 League Semi-Final

Oldcastle 2-06 Seneschalstown 7-09

Seneschalstown’s U-14 girls are going from strength to strength and qualified for the Division 2 Final after putting in a power packed performance to beat a very strong Oldcastle team who beat the girls only six weeks ago. It was a wet and windy Sunday evening in Oldcastle which isn’t the easiest place to come away with the spoils but it didn’t stop this very gutsy side.

Composure Wins The Day

Ballivor 3-07 Seneschalstown 1-17

In the U-16 Division 2 Round 7 game played on Tuesday evening Seneschalstown recovered from the setback of conceding two early goals to eventually emerge winners by four points. Keeping their composure after conceding the two goals the side kept the scoreboard ticking over and received a major boost when Cathal Finnegan converted a well worked goal on twenty minutes.

Clonard Pull Away Late On

Meath B League Division 5 Round 5

Seneschalstown 2-08 Clonard 2-14

While their form thus far in the Championship has been very impressive Seneschalstown have been struggling to replicate this in the League and their struggles continued on Tuesday evening when they fell to a six point defeat at home to Clonard.
