It was a meeting of Junior B and Intermediate sides in Fr. Tully Park on a wintery Monday evening and there was little doubt which side were better over the hour as Donaghmore/Ashbourne cantered to a comfortable fourteen point victory over Seneschalstown.

Strictly Come Dancing
The big night is almost upon us as there are only two more days until our third Strictly Come Dancing event. The dancers are raring to go and have been practising all around the clock to have their dances perfected. A marvellous night is guaranteed with while we will also be unveiling our development plans.

Judges on Friday night in the Knightsbrook Hotel are comedian Al Porter (Al is the resident comedian on the drive time show on 2FM), PR guru Valerie Roe, Spotlights Musical Theatre Producer and Choreographer Mr Stuart O’Connor and our very own Rita Collins.

Despite getting off to a very slow start in their U-14 Division 2 Round 6 game last Thursday evening away to Trim Seneschalstown got the victory they were seeking when at the end of a match which was nip and tuck throughout they managed to get enough scores to pull away and win by six points. Indeed Trim had been ahead and were it not for some erratic shooting they could have been out of sight.

It was a wet and windy evening in Fr. Tully Park on Sunday and while there was many a dog in the parish wouldn’t venture outside the Seneschalstown Senior Ladies took to the field as they looked to secure vital points in the battle to maintain their Division 1 status.

The home side got off to a great start as they registered the first six scores of the game and by half time had extended their lead to 2-08 to 0-03.

On a sunny Saturday morning in Walterstown GFC the U-16 Girls from Seneschalstown took on Navan O’Mahonys in the Division 2 Shield Final and what a compelling game it turned out to be, a fantastic spectacle of all that’s great about these wonderful committed girls on both sides.

In a repeat of the 2014 encounter at the same stage Seneschalstown and St. Patrick's met in the quarter final of the Feis Cup on Wednesday evening in Slane. Following the torrential rainfall over the weekend there had been some concerns that playing conditions could be difficult but to the credit of the Slane club their pitch was in excellent condition.

Our Senior team fell to defeat last Thursday in Round 5 of the A League Division 1 when Donaghmore/Ashbourne proved too strong in Fr. Tully Park. On an evening when the forward line struggled to get going they went under by 3-09 to 1-06.

They will look to kick-start their League campaign on Wednesday May 13th when they take on Simonstown Gaels in Round 6 at 19:30 in Simonstown.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, they play St. Patrick’s in the quarter final of the Feis Cup in Slane at 19:30.
