Fr. Seamus Mulvany's Golden Jubilee

Certain names become synonymous with clubs and in our case one of those names would be that of Fr. Seamus Mulvany. Fr. Mulvany arrived to the parish on Saturday September 13th 1969 and on the following day saw our Senior side in action as they had a runaway victory over Oldcastle in the Feis Cup at Kildalkey. .

Whatever he witnessed on that Sunday he resolved to get involved with the club and he soon guided a Juvenile side to win the East Meath Juvenile League when they caused a surprise by beating a very fancied Duleek outfit in the final.

Seneschalstown’s U-14's played their first round of the U-14 Summer League away to Round Towers in Drumbaragh on Wednesday evening and what a roller coaster of a night it proved to be. Shorn of a number of regulars who were missing due to the end of year ceremonies in Kentstown and Yellow Furze schools this was always going to be a tough assignment and so it proved.

Seneschalstown 2-11 Dunderry 4-03

Seneschalstown maintained their unbeaten record in the 2015 Seamus Connolly Catering JBFC when surviving a shaky performance to eventually overcome Dunderry by two points in Kilmainham on Sunday afternoon. With conditions very blustery over the hour it they were not conducive to free flowing football and what transpired were a multitude of misplaced, passes as players on both sides struggled to get to grips with the gusting wind.

Skryne 4-14 Seneschalstown 3-12

On a day when these two sides served up a cracking game of football it was Skryne who came out on top by five points following a sublime attacking performance. Both sides deserve great credit for the football on show as they both looked to play with the shackles off and not a blanket in sight.
