Second half fadeout costs victory

Meath Ladies U-16 Division 2 Championship

Seneschalstown 3-8 Skryne 2-13

Seneschalstown went under Skryne in this vital Div. 2 game played in good conditions in Fr Tully Park. A win for either side would progress the winners into the semi-finals but alas it wasn't to be for the Furze Girls on this occasion.

Battle lost but brighter days ahead

2015 U-18 Girls Minor Semi-Final

Simonstown 4-07 Seneschalstown 3-03

On Monday evening the 25th April the Seneschalstown U-18 girls took to the field of play in Dunganny to endeavour to reach the 2015 Division 1 Championship final. Standing in their way was their near neighbours Simonstown whom they had meet previously at this stage in 2014.

Great team performance from U-10 girls

Seneschalstown 5-04 Dunboyne 2-06

After a heavy defeat to Clan na Gael last week the U-10 girls had a point to prove in Kentstown on Monday evening when they took on Dunboyne. With a cold and strong wind blowing against them in the first half the home side fought hard to keep the scores out with great work from Aine McLarney and Eve Nolan in the backs. With Dunboyne scoring 2-6 in the first half it was always going to be tough. However, with Lucy Lynch and Megan Connelly scoring a goal each and also Darcy Kilfeather popping over a point we were still in touch at half time.

Groome points the way to victory

A League Division 1 Round 5

Seneschalstown 2-15 Summerhill 1-09

It may have taken until Round 5 of the League but Seneschalstown finally played their first home game in the Division 1 League on Tuesday evening and following their most complete performance of the season to date they emerged victorious on what was a very cold evening in Fr. Tully Park where there was a strong breeze blowing straight down the pitch towards the railway end goals.

Late scoring surge secures spoils

LMFM Meath Minor League Division 3 Round 4

Seneschalstown 2-16 Moynalty/Carnaross 1-14

Brilliant win in Enfield for U-14 girls

U-14 Meath Division 1 Championship Round 4

Na Fianna 0-05 Seneschalstown 3-06

Seneschalstown’s U-14 girls adventure in Division 1 continues with aplomb after a huge battle with Na Fianna in Baconstown on Monday evening. With only a kick of a ball separating the teams at half time the Enfield outfit upped the pressure in the second half but came across an inspired display from the Furze girls who refused to relinquish their position in this competitive Division 1 despite missing a few key players through injury.

'Bellew Bomber' blows the gaels away

LMFM Minor League Division 3 Round 7

Jenkinstown Gaels 4-11 Seneschalstown 5-16

Twenty-six days after their last match in the LMFM Minor League Seneschalstown were back in action on Friday evening when they took on the amalgamation of Moynalvey and Blackhall Gaels in Moynalvey. On a perfect evening for football both teams served up a highly entertaining match, sharing thirty-six scores between them with Seneschalstown managing to eke out a well-deserved victory which sees them move onto eight points on the table.

Next week promises to be a very busy one for our Senior footballers with two League games taking place.

Dunshaughlin's goals prove crucial

Meath U-16 Division 1 League Round 4

Seneschalstown 2-09 Dunshaughlin 4-08

The last remaining 100% record in Division 1 of the U-16 League came a cropper on Tuesday evening when Seneschalstown lost out to Dunshaughlin by five points in Fr. Tully Park. Over the hour there can be little doubt that the side in black and amber were full value for their victory as they played some excellent football and indeed could have been out of sight by half time had they made better use of their chances.
