May 6th 2016 Seneschalstown GFC Notes

Tuesday saw almost 120 children enjoy our annual Sportsarama in Fr. Tully Park.
Each and every one of them had a great day when activities such as Dodgeball, Frisbee and Unihoc to name but a few were enjoyed.
Our thanks go to all who volunteered on the day to help out as without them giving up their time free of charge we wouldn't have been able to run the Sportsarama.

Last Saturday saw the Seniors pick up their second brace of points in a few days when they defeated Dunshaughlin by 2-12 to 2-10.

Mighty U-14's march to victory

Meath Ladies U-14 Division 1 Championship Round 5

Seneschalstown 8-10 Royal Gaels 2-09

We are running out of words to describe this U-14 Seneschalstown ladies team who played out a fantastic match this evening in Fr. Tully Park. Taking on the might of Dunshaughlin’s Royal Gaels in Round 5 of the Division 1 Championship they played with real pride and guts determined to show why they are making such huge strides in Division 1, this being their fourth win in succession since their opening defeat in Rd.1 against Dunboyne.

Minors battle into League final

LMFM Minor League Division 3 Semi-Final

Drumconrath/Meath Hill 2-12 Seneschalstown 2-20

A trip to Meath Hill on a Bank Holiday Monday might not be what dreams are made of for many eighteen year olds but for Seneschalstown’s Minors it was the perfect night as they overcame their hosts following a blistering second half performance to seal their place in the Division 3 League Final. Such an outcome appeared unlikely when at half time following a mixed thirty minutes at the end of which they trailed by five points.

Second win in a week secured

A League Division 1 Round 6

Dunshaughlin 2-10 Seneschalstown 2-12

The May Bank Holiday weekend saw Seneschalstown travelling to Dunshaughlin where they looked to avenge their 2015 League defeat when they went down to a narrow defeat and following a topsy turvy match they ended up coming out on top by two points. In a game where both sides had their spells of dominance it was Seneschalstown who just managed to have longer spells in charge and were it not for some wasteful finishing their margin of victory could have been slightly larger as they hit thirteen wides over the hour.
