Seneschalstown defeated Donaghmore Ashbourne in the Minor Div. 1 Round 4 clash played in dry windy conditions on the Main pitch in Ashbourne. After 20 minutes the teams were level but winners got on top on the run in to the break after playing with the wind in the first half.
Meath Ladies Division 1 Minor Championship Round 2
Seneschalstown 0-13 Boardsmill 8-05
Although both teams scored 13 times it was Boardsmill's ability to find the net which gave the visitors a victory in Donore.
Each generation in a club is really only minding it and passing the torch onto the next generation in the best possible condition.
Two gentlemen and club stalwarts who have done just that over the years are Kevin Farrell and Kit Carey.
With this in mind it was very fitting for the latest generation in the club to visit both Club Presidents recently with the U-17 Division 2 Cup which they had just won.
LMFM Meath Minor Championship Division 3 Semi-Final
Ballivor/Boardsmill 6-12 Seneschalstown 2-10
The penultimate hurdle proved to be that little bit too high for a decimated Seneschalstown panel to jump on Friday evening as they fell to defeat against a physically stronger Ballivor/Boardsmill combination under lights in Skryne. Shorn of the services of eight players who were in action in the League Final back in May and with only two players in their last year of playing Minor available this was simply a step too far for a very youthful side.
Meath Ladies U-13 League Division 1 Round 4,
Seneschalstown 4-08 Navan O’Mahonys 2-05
On a bright Saturday afternoon in Paddy O’Brien Park O’Mahonys came out all guns blazing scoring a goal and two points in quick succession before Nicola Mongey opened the scoring for Seneschalstown with a point. Things were not looking too great for Seneschalstown as the home side stretched their lead with a further goal.
Hoganstand.com Meath SFC Semi-Final
Donaghmore/Ashbourne 2-16 Seneschalstown 0-05
The only unbeaten record at the end of the Hoganstand.com Meath SFC group stages belonged to Seneschalstown but it came to a shuddering half in this Sunday lunchtime quarter final when Donaghmore/Ashbourne laid down a powerful marker that they are the team to beat in this year’s Championship.
