With the initial game having been called off last week, the Minors of Seneschalstown and Trim met on Tuesday evening in Dunganny with their life in the Minor Championship on the line. Having both lost their opening round encounters, another defeat would signal the end of their participation in the competition so the stakes couldn’t have been higher.

Having previously earned a hard fought draw in their opening U.15 Div. 2 league game away to Simonstown, Seneschalstown welcomed a very strong St Pat's team who had been operating in Div. 1 to date to Fr. Tully park in what was always going to be a much tougher assignment.
U15 Championship Division 1 Round 4
Seneschalstown 2-14 Rathkenny 2-03
They say that rivalries bring out the best in players. Well these teams have met over the last few years since U-10 in numerous clashes in Cup Finals and Shield Finals and only most recently in the U-16 Final were the Furze Girls clung on for a wonderful 1 point victory despite losing their most influential captain Sorcha Gough early in the game. They have provided as much entertainment for both sets of mentors and supporters that the great Dublin and Mayo rivalry has and Thursday night's game was no different.
Fairyhouse Steel Meath SFC Group B Round 5
Seneschalstown 0-09 Navan O’Mahonys 3-14
With a place in the knockout stages of the Senior Championship at stake there was much riding on this encounter between old rivals Navan O’Mahonys and Seneschalstown but long before the end of the match it had turned into nothing more than a damp squib as the town side coasted to an easy victory, with which they booked a preliminary quarter final place against Na Fianna.
Meath Ladies U-15 Division 1 Round 3

Having to play the night before a Junior League final was never an ideal scenario with several of the u15 girls due to play tomorrow but that didn't deter the girls from taking the game from the start to the Gaeltacht team and dominating throughout.

A football club is an organisation which can only grow and prosper through the years if those involved take it upon themselves to leave it in a better place for the generations which follow. Over the course of the year’s Seneschalstown GFC have had many characters like this and it is in this category that the contribution of Kevin Farrell can safely be placed.
