In a Friday night thriller under the lights of Fr. Tully Park, Seneschalstown and Gaeil Colmcille got their respective 2023 seasons underway in the first round of the Feis Cup. Over the course of the 60 minutes, the game ebbed and flowed with the lead changing hands on numerous occasions before the Kells men plundered a late goal for themselves to take the spoils by the narrowest of margins when David Gough blew his full-time whistle.

Despite missing a plethora of players which amounted to double digits, a strong second half performance propelled Seneschalstown to a fourth win of the League campaign over fellow Senior side Curraha in Fr. Tully Park on Tuesday night. Both sides were boosted by the return of county personnel – Cathal Hickey for the hosts and James McEntee for Curraha.
