Minor Spring League Division 2 Round 2

Seneschalstown 2-12 St Pats 2-05

Seneschalstown bounced back to winning ways in their Round 2 clash away to St. Patrick’s in Stamullen last night. Following their last gasp defeat to St. Michael’s in Round 1 this was a welcome result and ensured the first 2 points of the campaign for the youngsters from Yellow Furze and Kentstown.

Seneschalstown had too much in the end for what looked like a lively St Pats team, led mainly by full forward Eddie Meade who tallied 2 -4 from play. Eoin Finnegan and Dylan Doyle, (star of last years U16 final against the same opposition), chipped in with 1 point each. Daire Geraghty was in fine form and finished the hour having notched 6 points.

Once the Seneschalstown backs got to grips with the St Pats attack early on in the second half it gave Mark Fox and Darragh Keogh the platform to put in a solid midfield display. Next up is a home game against Skryne.

Seneschalstown team: Ruairi McDonagh, Ruairi Keogh, David Fox, Conor Cantwell, Adam Carey, Peter Tierney, Danny O’Reilly, Mark Fox, Darragh Keogh, Dylan Doyle, Daire Geraghty, Ronan Conneely, Eoin Finnegan, Eddie Meade, Shane Mulvany

Subs: Sean Brady, David Gordon, Richie McKeown.
