Seneschalstown’s U-10 girls were well beaten in this South division league match at Seneschalstown on Apr 13th by a very strong and skilful Dunboyne outfit. Dunboyne opened the scoring with a point straight from the throw in and were 3 points to the good when Shauna Gordon got Seneschalstown’s only score after 9 minutes. Dunboyne continued their good scoring rate and lead 1-8 to 0-1 at halftime. The second half was a rearguard action for the Seneschalstown girls who never gave up with some excellent defending by Leanne Clarke, Aine Nangle , Aoife Mulvany, Leah Ryan, the twins Aibhe and Caragh Monaghan as well as goalkeeper Ava Jane Ryan. Lauren Donnelly and Sinead McLarney tried hard in midfield. The forwards Lauren McCarthy, Shauna Gordon, Chloe Bennett, Megan Darby, Ciara Sheridan and Molly Breen tried hard on a very limited supply of ball.
