Saturday 20th March – Seneschalstown 2-9 Oldcastle 1-8

On a very breezy Saturday afternoon the Under 12 competition began for Seneschalstown against Oldcastle at home. This game used the fair play rule with 13 a-side. It was a well fought after game from both sides and there was a strong breeze. The home team started well with a goal from Tara Hanlon and then Oldcastle replied with five unanswered points. This left it at 1-0 to 1-0 to 1-6 to Oldcastle at the break.

On a very breezy Saturday afternoon the Under 12 competition began for Seneschalstown against Oldcastle at home. This game used the fair play rule with 13 a-side. It was a well fought after game from both sides and there was a strong breeze. The home team started well with a goal from Tara Hanlon and then Oldcastle replied with five unanswered points. This left it at 1-0 to 1-0 to 1-6 to Oldcastle at the break.
Seneschalstown then used the advantage of the wind in the second half. Their first point was from a 45 taken by Roisin Cummins who then scored the second with a superb kick from far out field. It was Roisin Cummins who took the majority of Seneschalstown’s scores in the second half, but this was due to the excellent delivery of the ball from her defence. Best for Seneschalstown were Natasha Mullen, Zara William, Megan Barry, Lauren Rooney, Roisin Cummins, Tara Hanlon.
