Seneschalstown’s U-10 girls kicked off their league campaign with a very tough home match against Trim on Monday evening in Kentstown

From the off this turned out to be a tough but exciting match in front of great support from both sides. Trim took the lead with a fine point from play but with hard work from midfielders Darcy Kilfeather and Alli Finnegan to get the ball into the full forward line we were unlucky not to take the lead when a shot from Kellie Geraghty hit the crossbar.

With the introduction of Sadhbh Monaghan and Holly Owen in the second half things started to improve for the home side. With great work from Caoimhe Clarke and Megan Carolan who started many attacks from the back line, the half forward line of Lucy Lynch and Nina Loughran were getting plenty of supply. Lynch then scored 1-1 from 2 frees which were won by the great work of Sadhbh Monaghan who then also chipped in with a point of her own from a tight angle to round off a great performance.

It’s great to see these girls working hard and improving their skills every week.
