Last Man Standing
The start of the Allianz National Football League is just around the corner which can only mean one thing. Yes, that's right the famous Seneschalstown Last Man Standing is back!
This is a great test of your football knowledge with a different team having to be picked to win each round of the League between Divisions 1 & 2.
Last year’s competition was won by Mark Fox who no doubt will be gunning to win it for a second successive year.
But with entry only €10 and every member of the Senior & Junior A panels and management with entry forms to sell competition is set to be extremely high once more.
All entries have to be in by 19:00 on Friday January 29th - 24 hours before the first games throw in.
Best of luck to all entrants.

New Referees Course
Have you ever stood on a sideline and said that ref hasn't a clue, that's clearly a black card?
Well having talked the talk this is your opportunity to walk the walk as the Co. Board are currently looking to recruit new referees.
Maybe you could emulate David Coldrick and go on to be regarded as the best referee in the country or perhaps you could follow in the footsteps of Maggie Farrelly and become the first female referee from the club to take charge of men's matches.
The course takes place in Dunganny on Monday February 15th and Monday February 22nd.
For further information, contact referee’s administrator Donal Smith on refereesadministrator.meath@gaa.ie

St. Pats Navan
Well done to St. Pats who defeated Colaiste Mhuire Mullingar by 1-11 to 3-04 in the North Leinster Junior A Final on Wednesday afternoon.
Brian Maguire and Cathal Finnegan both started the game with Dylan Keating and Alan Mulvany on the subs bench.
Brian was joint captain from centre back while Cathal grabbed a goal from top of the right. Dylan came off the bench for the last ten minutes.

Congratulations to Meath on winning the O’Byrne Cup last Sunday following a 1-17 to 1-11 win over Longford last Sunday in Páirc Tailteann.

Focus now switches to the Allianz National Football League in which they will take on Armagh in Round 1 on Sunday at 14:00 in Páirc Tailteann.

Meath Ladies Senior
Congratulations to Eoin Hennessy who has been appointed manager of the Meath Ladies Senior side for the upcoming season.

One of his panel will be our own Stacey Grimes. Stacey has long been regarded as one of the best young players in the county and now that she is on the Meath panel it is only a matter of time before her name is known throughout the country.
The Ladies first game in the LIDL National Football League is on Sunday at 14:00 in Drumree. Interim manager Jenny Rispin remains in charge for Sunday and we wish her and the team all the best.

Meath Ladies U-14
The Meath Ladies U-14's got their season up and running with a challenge game against Longford in Drumree following a month’s hard training last Saturday.
Well done to our five panellists – Aoibhe Monaghan, Caragh Monaghan, Lauren Donnelly, Orla Finnegan and Lauren McCarthy who all performed very well.

Sigerson Football
Well done to Garda College who won their Sigerson Cup Preliminary Round game on Wednesday afternoon when defeating Cork IT by 1-13 to 0-08.

Coaching Course
Under guidelines being implemented by the GAA's Árd Comhairle all Club Management teams must contain an Award 1 coach from this year on.
A large number of our coaches already have this achievement but to help more of our coaches achieve it we are delighted to be hosting an Award 1 Coaching Course suitable for Children's teams up to U-12. This course will commence on February 29th in the clubhouse.
The Award 1 Course is the next step on from the Foundation Award. Modules cover communication, building and breaking skills, physical literacy, team play and more.
All modules have to be attended to receive full certification and participants must have completed the Foundation Award.
Booking through Jenny Rispin on 087 7811215 or email jenny.rispin.gda.meath@gaa.ie
The cost is €70 per person while if four people from the club attend one place will be free (4 for the price of 3).

Club Lotto
The numbers drawn in this week’s Lotto were 4, 5, 24 and 28. There was no winner of the jackpot of €10,000 which means next week’s jackpot will once more be worth €10,000. The 5 by €25 winners were Gerry Moran, Michael Mongey, Jimmy McComiskey, Siobhan Donovan and Megan & Kevin Clarke.

Tickets for the Lotto are €2 or 3 for €5. They can be purchased from committee members, Lotto sellers, local shops or you can also play online at http://www.helpourclub.ie/localhome.asp?
