Donaghmore / Ashbourne overcame Senechalstown where goals were catalyst to there win on Saturday evening in Ratoath.

Seneschalstown opened the scoring on the 5th minute with a point from play from full forward James Gillic. Donaghmore / Ashbourne were quick to reply with a point on the 6th minute. Robert Darby got a point from play on the 7th minute but again was quickly cancelled out with another point from play from Donaghmore / Ashbourne. A good pass from centre half forward Ian Carroll to Gillic who then passed to Mark Gleeson who kicked the ball to the back of the net on the 12th minute. Donaghmore / Ashbourne responded well with a goal on the other end of the pitch on the 13th minute. The Yellow Furze side cancelled out that goal with points from play from Carroll. Gleeson and Colin Lynch on the 14th, 16th and 20th minute respectively. Seneschalstown got another goal on the 22nd minute from Gillic but again quick reply goals on the 29th and 31st minutes left Donaghmore / Ashbourne up by 2 points going into the break of half time.

Darby kicked off the scoring in the second half with a point from play on the 32nd minute. Donaghmore / Ashbourne gathered momentum and got 7 points from play before Seneschalstown got there second score of the second half with a point from play from Lynch on the 60th minute. A late rally from Seneschalstown seen points from play from Tean Cummins on the 61st minute and Gillic on the 62nd minute but wasnt enough to overcome Donaghmore / Ashbourne.
