It was a replay of the 2011 Senior Championship Final with Seneschalstown Vs. Na Fianna in the 2012 senior semi-final in Trim last Saturday. The evening turned into a blustery and wet evening weather wise but there was some good football on display. It took a while for both teams to get out of the traps but Na Fianna was first on the score sheet. Then Seneschalstown answered with a fine score by Ruth Sheridan. The game then went for 12 minutes without a score with Seneschalstown having a lot of possession and not converting.

Stephanie Byrne was then to slot a point over to settle the senior champions and with the kick out Seneschalstown won the ball and kicked it high towards the goals. The ball ricocheted off the post into the hands of Roisin Nulty who placed the ball in the back of the net. Amy Gilsenan was then to finish the scoring before half time.
The second half commenced with Seneschalstown winning the throw up and penetrating the Na Fianna defence only to be fouled in the square. A penalty was awarded and taken to the back of the net by Louise McKeever. Seneschalstown then pulled away from Na Fianna with 4 unanswered points. Na Fianna was against the wind but put over some fine scores in the second half by their corner forward. This could not stop Seneschalstown to winning and final score read 2-11 to 0-8 points in the end.
The best for Seneschalstown were Edel McGrane, Siobhan Sheridan, Orla Sheridan, Louise McKeever, Seanaidh hickey and Ruth Sheridan. It finished with the reigning senior champions entering the final again to retain the cup. They will face Boardsmill in the final in the coming weeks.
