Seneschalstown claimed second place on the division 2 A League table with a 3 goal win over previous 2nd placed Nobber on Saturday evening at home in Seneschalstown.

The home side were first on the score board with 2 points from play on the 1st and 2nd minutes from Stephen Finnegan and Brian Sheridan. Nobber soon answered with a point from free from Brian Farrell. Seneschalstown soon cancelled that point out with a point from play from midfielder Damien Sheridan on the 6th minute. Farrell got another free on the 8th minute which fellow Meath footballer Joe Sheridan cancelled out on the 11th minute. Brian Sheridan got another point from play on the 18th minute before goal came with a good ball in from Mark Carey found Ciaran Macken who hit the back of the net on the 22nd minute. The Yellow Furze side got 2 further points 1 from free on the 25th and 27th minutes from Adam Gleeson and Brian Sheridan. Nobber got the last point of the first half with a free from Brian Farrell on the 31st minute.

Seneschalstown got there first point of the second half on the 47th minute with a point from play from James Byrne. Farrell scored the last of Nobber’s point on the 46th and another from free on the 49th. Another goal came for the home side on the 50th minute from Joe Sheridan from another good ball in by Mark Carey.
