Seneschalstown goals from corner forward Niall Lyons proved crucial to overcome St. Colmcilles in a wet Pilltown on Thursday evening.
St. Colmcilles were first on the score board but Senchalstown were quick to reply with the first of Niall Lyons goals on the 5th minute. Colmcilles got 2 further points before the second of Lyons goals came on the 14th minute which was soon increased again by a point from Niall Groome. St. Colmcilles reacted well with points from free and play on the 19th, 20th and 22nd minutes. Joe Sheridan got the first of his points on the 26th followed by another on the 30th minute before the break of half time.
The Yellow Furze side was first to score in the second half with a point from free from Brian Sheridan on the 31st minute. Goal came for St. Colmcilles on the 34th minute leaving the sides level. The visitors reacted well with points from play on the 36th and 38th minutes soon followed by a point from play for St Colmcilles on the 39th minute. Joe Sheridan added another point to the visitors scoreboard on the 44th minute. St Colmcilles got the last of there points on the 51st minute. Brian Sheridan kicked over another point from free on the 56th minute which was soon followed by the last of the games points from Joe Sheridan on the 59th leaving the vistors 3 point winners.
