Easter Sportsarama
The Fourth Annual Easter Sportsarama takes place this Thursday, April 2nd in Seneschalstown. Registration is now open and will be accepted on the morning. All children will be divided into groups based on age. Each group will be led by at least 1 adult coach. Strictly Come Dancing
The countdown to our Strictly Come Dancing 2015 event is now on and the thirty dancers are all getting acquainted with the task of learning their moves ahead of the big night in the Knightsbrook Hotel on Friday May 15th. Tickets are now on sale from the dancers and from members of the committee.

The fifteen couples are – John Smith and Sarah Clancy, Shane Corbally and Carmel Healy, Conor Cowley and Sarah Muldoon, Eoin Battersby and Joyce McDonagh, Derek Carroll and Pamela Ryan, Cormac Noonan and Colleen O’Dea, Darrell McAuley and Karen Lynch, Adam Carey and Ellen Sheridan, Andrew Mooney and Aoife Stanley, Grainne Kennedy and Niall Groome, David Clarke and Nicola McDonagh, Jim Rooney and Deirdre Naughton, Thomas Daly and Jennifer Monaghan, Liam Sharp and Audrey O’Reilly.

Senior
The Senior side travelled to Ballinlough to take on their hosts on Sunday in Round 4 of the League and came away victors by the narrowest of margins when winning by 1-07 to 1-06. Trailing by two points with two minutes remaining they rallied to post three late points when playing against a stiff breeze to eventually win by the minimum.

They will get their Hoganstand.com Meath Senior Football Championship campaign underway on Friday April 10th when they take on the reigning champions Navan O’Mahonys in Páirc Tailteann at 20:00. All support welcome on the night.

Junior B
The Junior B team take on Wolfe Tones in Fr. Tully Park on Saturday evening at 18:00 in a deferred B League Division 1 Round 2 game when they will be looking to pick up their first win of the season following defeats against Gaeil Colmcille and Simonstown Gaels.

Junior D
The Junior D side’s difficult start to the year continued on Sunday when they lost out to Kilberry in their deferred B League Division 5 Round 2 match. While they put in an improved display they lost out by 3-10 to 0-12.

Minor
Our Minor team recorded a very impressive victory over Na Fianna when winning by 3-10 to 0-09. With David Gordon (2) and Cathal Finnegan chipping in with goals along with a tight rear-guard effort led by Ruairí Keogh this was an impressive team performance and the side now sit in pole position on the table with two games of the group stage to go.

Next up is a game away to Rathkenny.

Under 16
The U-16 team lost out to St. Colmcilles this evening (Tuesday) in Round 1 of their League and next Tuesday they take on Donaghmore/Ashbourne in Fr. Tully Park at 19:00 in Round 2.

Under 14
The U-14 side turned in a scintillating display on Saturday afternoon when beating Skryne by 6-14 to 3-06. Boosted by a quick start they rattled in three goals in the lead in to half time to build up a sizable lead. The then turned in a solid second half performance to run out comfortable winners. Next up for them is an away game against Navan O’Mahonys on April 9th.

Under 12
The U-12’s took on Simonstown Gaels in a Challenge game on Sunday in Kentstown and with conditions gradually worsening as the game wore on they turned in a good performance but ultimately lost out by a couple of points. Next up is a League encounter against neighbours St. Marys.

Seneschalstown Nursery
Coaching continued last Saturday for our U-6, U-8 and U-10 players with another large turnout in Fr. Tully Park and this Saturday our U-8’s and U-10’s have a big day as they play their first Go Games Blitz of the year in Dunganny. Games are down to start at 10:00.

Coaching for the Girls U-16 team takes place on Monday evenings from 19:00 – 20:00 in Fr. Tully Park.

Their coaching continues on Monday evenings from 19:00 – 20:00 in Fr. Tully Park.

Girls Under 10
Coaching for the U-10 Girls continues on Monday evenings from 18:30 – 19:30.

Lotto
The numbers drawn in this week’s Lotto were 2, 19, 22 and 27. There was no winner of the jackpot of €6,600. Next week’s jackpot will be worth €6,700. The 5 x €25 winners are Patricia Finnegan, Fr. James Lynch, Niamh Bisset, Joe O’Brien and David Mooney.

Meath
The counties Senior team returned to winning ways on Saturday evening when defeating Down by 2-11 to 0-10 in Páirc Esler, Newry. This puts them back in the promotion race but needing other results to go in their favour. Should they defeat Cavan in Páirc Tailteann this Sunday at 15:00 and either Down or Roscommon lose their match Meath will be promoted to Division 1. There are other permutations which could play out so it will be an afternoon when radio/twitter updates will provide many twists and turns.

Meath Ladies Senior
As days go they don’t come much more disappointing than last Sunday for the county’s Senior Ladies as they were beaten 6-16 to 1-00 by a dominant Armagh side. Next up for the Ladies is a game against Cavan when they will look to bounce back to winning ways.

Meath Ladies Minor
Congratulations to Róisín Commons who lined out at left half back for the Meath U-14’s on Saturday afternoon when they recorded a facile 8-22 to 2-03 win over Longford in Trim. Well done Róisín.

Meath Ladies U-16
Kiah Geraghty and her Meath U-16 teammates will take on Offaly in Round 4 of the Leinster Championship on Easter Monday, April 6th. Venue details are not yet to hand but will be on our Facebook/Twitter pages when we know them.

Meath Ladies U-14
Sorcha Gough lined out at right half back for the Meath U-14’s on Sunday morning as they recorded a very impressive 10-04 to 3-00 win over Louth. Well done Sorcha.
