Sportsarama
Tuesday saw almost 120 children enjoy our annual Sportsarama in Fr. Tully Park.
Each and every one of them had a great day when activities such as Dodgeball, Frisbee and Unihoc to name but a few were enjoyed.
Our thanks go to all who volunteered on the day to help out as without them giving up their time free of charge we wouldn’t have been able to run the Sportsarama.

Player of the Week
Congratulations to this week’s Player of the Week, Lauren McCarthy.
One of our five superstars on the Meath U-14 panel Lauren has enjoyed a superb season to date and last week against Na Fianna was quite simply outstanding.
One of only two U-14 players in the defence with the remainder all eligible for the U-13 and U-12 grades Lauren lined out at centre back where she anchored the defence.
Operating as the centre back can be a difficult position to excel in but Lauren delivered a defensive masterclass. Held her position perfectly and was always there to put up the ‘road blocked’ sign any time Na Fianna tried to attack the central channel.
Lauren was always there to support her teammates and took on additional leadership responsibilities on the evening with key teammates absent.
As the defensive linchpin in their latest win in Division 1 Lauren is a fully deserving Player of the Week. If the quality of Lauren’s performances continue to improve as they have this year then she looks set to be one of our best talents for years to come and a fixture not only on Meath panels but on the Meath team.

Club Lotto
The numbers drawn in this week’s Lotto were 9, 11, 15 and 16. There was no winner of the jackpot of €10,000 which means next week’s jackpot will once more be worth €10,000. The 5 by €25 winners were Shane Clarke, Marian Kelly, Mick O’Brien, Angela Gray and Liam Byrne.
