Seneschalstown defeated Moynalty in the Division 4 Minor Championship on Sunday evening in a very damp Pairc Tailteann.

Seneschalstown were first on the scoreboard with points from play from Niall Lyons and James Meade on the 5th and 7th minutes. Lyons soon added to his score line with a point from free on the 8th minute and a further point from play on the 9th minute. Goal came for the Yellow Furze side when midfielder but wearing the number 3 jersey Eamon Sheridans shot found the back of the net on the 13th minute leaving Seneschalstown with a 7 point advantage. Moynalty struck over there first point on the 15th minute but was cancelled out on the 21st minute with an excellent point from half back William Mullen. Moynalty increased there score line on the 25th minute with a point from midfielder Ollie Sheridan but again Seneschalstown cancelled out that point with a further point from play from on form Lyons on the 26th minute. With 4 minutes of injury time added due to injuries Moynalty kicked out the black on the 34th minute leaving Seneschalstown up 1-06 to 3 points going into the break.

Seneschalstown opened the scoring in the second half with a well struck goal from Meade on the 32nd minute. Moynalty’s full forward Paul Lynch struck over a point from play on the 34th minute but Seneschalstown gathered momentum and with Moynalty conceeding frees this allowed Lyons to step up and kick over 2 points on the 37th and 38th minutes respectively. Mullen added a further point from play on the 40th minute which was soon followed by a point from play from Lyons on the 43rd minute. With Seneschalstown conceeding a free Lynch stepped up for Moynalty and pointed on the 44th minute. Another goal came for the Yellow Furze side on the 51st minute when Brendan Lynch found the back of the net and was soon followed by a points from Meade and substitute Darragh Geraghty on the 52nd and 56th minutes. Seneschalstown finished off there fine tally of scoring with a well deserved goal from Ross Howard on the 61st minute.
