In the final game of the league round robin series Seneschalstown got off to the perfect start in this Minor League game when Max Mc Farland was was bearing down on goal and was fouled in the square after just 3 minutes, James conlon converted the penalty, Moynalty came back with 3 unanswered points and after 15mins lead 0 – 5 to 1 – 1, but for the next 10 min’s Seneschalstown’s back line marshalled by Ross Walsh and Tean Cummins got to grips with their opponents and the midfield pairing of Gerry mc Kendry and Cormac Noonan were dominated and took control of the game around the mid-field area, and during this time out scored their opponents by 1 – 7 to 0 – 1 with James Conlon, converting another penalty and two points as well as Colin Lynch getting two points, Max Mc Farland getting two points and Gerard Mc Kendry with one point, leaving the half-time score at Seneschalstown 2 – 08 to Moynalvey 1 – 04

Moynalvey came strong in the second half and rarely tested the seneschalstown defence and started to eat into the deficit, eventually getting it down to 3 points at one stage, but then points from James Conlon and Colin Lynch settled the team and with Niall Groom, Adam Gargan and Willie Mullins dominating the half back line Seneschalstown gained back the momentum and when Cormac Noonan won a ball in the square and converted to the corner of the net with his left foot the game was over as a contest. Moynalvey didn’t lie down and came back gain and registered 1 – 02 without reply but time ran out for them and Seneschalstown ran out 5 point winners

This win was enough for Seneschalstown to qualify second in the group behind group winners Clann Na Gaal and land them a home semi final spot.
