U-17
Our U-17’s overcame Simonstown Gaels by 1-12 to 1-10 last Sunday morning in Fr. Tully Park to make it two wins from two in the competition. Next up is a game against Navan O’Mahonys on Sunday morning at 11:00 in Fr. Tully Park.

U-15
It wasn’t to be for our U-15’s last Thursday when they lost out to Navan O’Mahonys in the Division 2 League Final by 2-13 to 2-09.

Trailing for much of the game they were denied goals on numerous occasions by the brilliant O’Mahonys goalkeeper but to their credit kept plugging away and battled back from eight points behind to be within two scores at the end.

U-13
The season for our U-13’s came to a close last Friday evening when in bitterly cold conditions Skryne proved just too strong as they won out in the semi-final be 3-11 to 2-09

Girls U-15
Congratulations to our U-15 Girls who won the Division 2 Shield last Saturday in Dunganny when overcoming Oldcastle by 1-07 to 1-02.

Photos from the game and presentation can be seen on our Facebook page.

Pitch Development
For many years now the club has been in need of a second playing pitch to cater for the large numbers of players we have lining out each year.
In total we have 24 sides between Men’s, Ladies and Juvenile which puts huge pressure on our current facilities.
This year we have been lucky to procure land adjacent to our current premises on which we will be developing an all-weather sand based floodlit pitch along with using some of the land we already own.
The total cost of this development will be €350,000 and to pay for this we are going to be embarking on a major fundraising drive.
Representatives from the club are currently calling to each house in the parish explaining why this pitch is needed and how people can help with our fundraising drive.
This new pitch will be a much needed addition to our facilities and will result in us having one of the finest playing pitches in the country.

Lotto
The numbers drawn in this week’s Lotto were 8, 10, 23 and 27. There was no winner of the jackpot of €10,000 which means next week’s jackpot will once more be worth €10,000. The new jackpot is worth €1,000. The 5 by €25 winners were Aine Clarke, Rose Scanlon, Joe O’Brien, Frank Heary and Shane Corbally.

Tickets for the Lotto are €2 or 3 for €5. They can be purchased from committee members, Lotto sellers, local shops or you can also play online at http://www.helpourclub.ie/localhome.asp?
