Seneschalstown 3-9 St Ultans 2-2

Seneschalstown Junior C Ladies qualified for the Junior C championship Semi-Final with victory over old rivals St Ultans in Fr Tully Park.

The first half was a tight affair and Anna Wogan put the home team in front with a point from play but the visitors scored their first goal shortly afterwards. It took the home team a while to get going and two points from Shirley Quinn kept the home team in touch.

On the run into the break Wogan picked up a knockdown from Aoife Mulvany and blasted the ball to the bottom corner of the net to give the home team a narrow 1-3 to 1-2 lead at the break.

The second half started with Kelly Smith finding the back of the Ultans net but the visitors replied soon after with a goal of their own. However this would be their last score and points from Emer Smith, Zoe Kirwan, Adelle Carolan Flynn and a second Kelly Smith goal had the desired affect and a place in the semi-final secured on a final score of 3-9 to 2-2.

Either Royal Gaels or Dunboyne will provide the opposition in the semi and we await the final table to be issued to see the final positions.
