Meath Ladies U-13 Division 1 Shield Final

Seneschalstown 0-13 St. Colmcilles 1-04

Getting to a final is always a huge achievement, and after last week’s disappointment at narrowly missing out on a place in the Cup Final, Seneschalstown headed to Skryne on Saturday 12th November for the U13 Division 1 Shield Final against a strong St Colmcilles outfit. Defeat was not an option for the Seneschalstown girls and from the first throw in they drove on in waves constantly breaking down the Cilles defence and coming out with a well-deserved victory 0–13 to 1–04.

Meath Ladies U-13 Division 1 Playoff

Walterstown 8-04 (28) Seneschalstown 6-08 (26)

A cold but sunny Sunday afternoon in Walterstown saw Seneschalstown’s U-13 girls take to the field in a playoff to reach the Division 1 Cup Final. Walterstown having been given a second chance to reach the final having already lost to Dunboyne the previous week. The Seneschalstown girls were unlucky to have been drawn third from the hat and hence were only given 1 chance to reach the Cup Final despite all 3 teams finishing on level points.

Meath Ladies Division 1 Minor Championship

Seneschalstown 2-7 Royal Gaels 3-4

Seneschalstown and Royal Gaels served up an entertaining and exciting draw in this Minor Div. 1 Championship game played under lights in Dunshaughlin on Thursday night.

A win for either side would have put them in pole position to qualify for the final against Simonstown and now we must wait until Royal Gaels complete their program of games to see who will qualify.

Valiant performance in defeat

Meath U-16 Division 1 League Round 7

Seneschalstown 1-07 St. Peter’s Dunboyne 3-07

On what turned into an evening reminiscent of deepest November rather than early May Seneschalstown’s U-16’s fell to a six point defeat at the hands of the unbeaten Dunboyne side in Fr. Tully Park. Conditions were blustery at the outset but by the time Andrew Lenehan had sounded the full time whistle the rain had been falling for quite a while in torrents, leaving the conditions very difficult for both sides.

LMFM Minor League Division 3 Semi-Final

Drumconrath/Meath Hill 2-12 Seneschalstown 2-20

A trip to Meath Hill on a Bank Holiday Monday might not be what dreams are made of for many eighteen year olds but for Seneschalstown’s Minors it was the perfect night as they overcame their hosts following a blistering second half performance to seal their place in the Division 3 League Final. Such an outcome appeared unlikely when at half time following a mixed thirty minutes at the end of which they trailed by five points.
