Groome points the way to victory

A League Division 1 Round 5

It may have taken until Round 5 of the League but Seneschalstown finally played their first home game in the Division 1 League on Tuesday evening and following their most complete performance of the season to date they emerged victorious on what was a very cold evening in Fr. Tully Park where there was a strong breeze blowing straight down the pitch towards the railway end goals.

Syddan prove too strong

Ideal Bathrooms Meath Junior C Football Championship Round 1

Syddan 1-13 Seneschalstown 2-03

Seneschalstown got life in the Junior C Championship off to a disappointing start on Sunday when losing out to Syddan by seven points.

On a day when numbers were very tight and key players were absent they struggled throughout against a more fluent Syddan outfit.

Meath Junior D Football Championship Round 1

Kilmainham 4-07 Seneschalstown 2-10

Sunday April 17th marked a historic first for Seneschalstown as they fielded a fourth team in the adult championship for the first time. A number of absentees from the preceding Junior C game saw numbers tight for the D’s but to the credit of the club they still managed to eventually field 16 for the match after manager Tony McDonnell had spent an anxious time pre match staring at the gate looking for late arrivals and also running up a hefty phone bill wondering where fellas were.

Extra-time aplenty in Millbrook

Meath Ladies U-15 Division 2 League Round 1

Oldcastle 2-10 Seneschalstown 4-04

A match against Oldcastle in Millbrook is never an easy place to get a positive result but on Friday night the Seneschalstown U-15 girls managed to come away with a share of the spoils after an epic comeback in the second half. The girls only managed a single point in the first half with signs of the summer break showing finding themselves 1-04 to 0-01 behind at half time.

Second Half Surge Secures Victory

Meath Ladies SFC Round 4
Seneschalstown 3-10 Simonstown Gaels 1-09
Going into this game on Friday evening against Simonstown, Seneschalstown knew that they needed to win to keep the pressure on table toppers Oldcastle which would also enhance their grip on a potential home semi-final spot. They were also looking to make it two home victories in less than 5 days following Tuesday evenings’ victory over Boardsmill.

Dunshaughlin's goals prove crucial

Meath U-16 Division 1 League Round 4

Seneschalstown 2-09 Dunshaughlin 4-08

The last remaining 100% record in Division 1 of the U-16 League came a cropper on Tuesday evening when Seneschalstown lost out to Dunshaughlin by five points in Fr. Tully Park. Over the hour there can be little doubt that the side in black and amber were full value for their victory as they played some excellent football and indeed could have been out of sight by half time had they made better use of their chances.

Two points picked up in Dunboyne

Seneschalstown U-14's travelled to Dunboyne on Sunday evening last for round 4 of the spring league against a very big strong Dunboyne side and knew they would be up against it from the word go in order to get a win.

Second quarter surge proves crucial

Meath U-16 Division 1 League Round 3

Having finished up a long day in the classroom just a few hours previously it was back to school for the U-16 footballers of Navan O’Mahonys and Seneschalstown on Wednesday evening as due to Paddy O’Brien Park being unplayable due to the recent poor weather this match was switched to the pitch at Beaufort College, having previously being postponed by twenty-four hours.
