Going into this encounter in the Teach na Teamhrach Meath JFC Skryne would have been favourites on the back of their impressive start to the Championship as they won their opening 2 games while Seneschalstown could only look back on a 50% winning record. And with 10 minutes gone this looked like being right on the money as the Tara outfit held a four point lead while they were leading Seneschalstown a merry dance around the field.

In a game, they couldn’t afford to lose, Seneschalstown just about managed to eke out a victory in their relegation battle against Rathkenny on Friday evening. A match that had everything, brilliant score taking, last gasp defending, a virtuoso performance from Rathkenny’s Caolach Halligan, saw Meath’s Joe Sheridan step up in injury time to pull off a stunning penalty save to ensure Seneschalstown clung on to the narrowest of wins.

The proverbial game of two halves materialised in the Ladies Div 5 Rd 7 clash between Royal Gaels and Seneschalstown played in Dunshaughlin.

Seneschalstown 3-9 St Ultans 2-2

Seneschalstown Junior C Ladies qualified for the Junior C championship Semi-Final with victory over old rivals St Ultans in Fr Tully Park.

The first half was a tight affair and Anna Wogan put the home team in front with a point from play but the visitors scored their first goal shortly afterwards. It took the home team a while to get going and two points from Shirley Quinn kept the home team in touch.

Seneschalstowns Junior C ladies made a big step towards qualification for the Championship semi-finals with this exciting and hard fough win over Rathkenny/Slane in Toddy Harding Park.

Seneschalstown GFC

Seneschalstown GFC is small rural club from the Beauparc/Kentstown parish situated about 6 miles east of Navan and 3 miles south of Slane.
The club has a proud history in all levels of GAA football over the years and more recently with our Ladies teams.
The club has enjoyed much success in all competitions and has been fortunate to have many players represent the county teams with distinction.
