B League Division 2 football again in 2017

Meath B League Division 2 Playoff

Summerhill 3-15 Seneschalstown 0-09

Ambitions of promotion to back to Division 1 of the B Leagues at the first time of asking came to a shuddering halt on Saturday evening in Dunganny for Seneschalstown’s Junior A side as they crashed to a fifteen point defeat at the hands of Summerhill. Prior to the throw in there had been an impeccably observed minutes’ silence in memory of Ciaran McCabe whose cousin Niall lined out on the forty for the Furze outfit.

Playoff spot secured as Nobber crushed

Meath B League Division 2 Round 9

Nobber 1-07 Seneschalstown 4-15

Seneschalstown Junior A squad relinquished home advantage to Nobber for this last round of the B league division 2 competition. The match played was under lights on Friday 9th September at 7.30pm to facilitate the Seneschalstown fundraiser climb to Croagh Patrick on Saturday 10th September and saw Seneschalstown looking to win promotion and league final spot with only one loss in the competition to-date.

Na Fianna on top in Baconstown

A League Division 1 Round 13

Na Fianna 1-15 Seneschalstown 0-11

A League campaign that promised plenty petered out on Sunday afternoon for Seneschalstown as they lost their third consecutive game in the competition following a flat display in a very windy Baconstown. From the off the home side set the running and with a healthy lead built up at half time having played with the elements at their back they never looked in danger of being caught.

1 point defeat in Dunboyne

U-14 Girls Division 1

Seneschalstown 05 - 06 to Dunboyne 04 - 10

A cold Friday afternoon in Dunboyne saw the Seneschalstown girls take to the field in their opening game in the Division 1, U-14 Spring League against a typically strong Dunboyne side who already had 1 win under their belt. After a valiant effort, the Seneschalstown girls just ran out of time losing by a single point.

Brilliant start to the year for the U-16 Girls

U-16 Division 2 Championship Round 1

Oldcastle 6-09 Seneschalstown 7-08

Seneschalstown’s U-16 Ladies got their Division 2 campaign off to a perfect start on Sunday against a strong and determined Oldcastle side with both sides serving up a thriller for the crowd in Gilson Park with no less than 13 goals between them!!

Terrific thirteens come up trumps in final

Meath Ladies U-13 Division 1 Shield Final

Seneschalstown 0-13 St. Colmcilles 1-04

Getting to a final is always a huge achievement, and after last week’s disappointment at narrowly missing out on a place in the Cup Final, Seneschalstown headed to Skryne on Saturday 12th November for the U13 Division 1 Shield Final against a strong St Colmcilles outfit. Defeat was not an option for the Seneschalstown girls and from the first throw in they drove on in waves constantly breaking down the Cilles defence and coming out with a well-deserved victory 0–13 to 1–04.

Waters' penalty save proves crucial in victory

LMFM Meath Minor Championship Division 3 Round 2

Seneschalstown 2-16 Drumconrath/Meath Hill 1-13

Seniors fall at penultimate hurdle

Coca Cola Meath Ladies SFC Semi-Final

Seneschalstown 2-11 St Ultans 6-13

Seneschalstown’s attempt to reach the Coca Cola Senior Ladies Championship Final came unstuck as there were defeated by St Ultans at the penultimate hurdle in a balmy Rathkenny on Tuesday. On a night when nothing seemed to go right for the Seneschalstown girls, credit is due to St Ultans who performed well in every sector of the field and deservedly won the game.

Masterful Mulvany kicks Seneschalstown to victory

Patrick Ward U-16 Tournament Final

Seneschalstown 5-09 Simonstown Gaels 4-11

Sunday evening last saw Fr. Tully Park play host to a thriller as Seneschalstown and Simonstown Gaels served up an excellent match in the final of the Patrick Ward Tournament. End to end throughout, both sides had spells of dominance and right to the death the outcome was in the balance as had the game gone on a further thirty seconds Simonstown may have had time to engineer one further score to either draw or win the match.

Sportsarama
Tuesday saw almost 120 children enjoy our annual Sportsarama in Fr. Tully Park.
Each and every one of them had a great day when activities such as Dodgeball, Frisbee and Unihoc to name but a few were enjoyed.
Our thanks go to all who volunteered on the day to help out as without them giving up their time free of charge we wouldn't have been able to run the Sportsarama.

Senior
Last Saturday saw the Seniors pick up their second brace of points in a few days when they defeated Dunshaughlin by 2-12 to 2-10.
