Late fadeout costs two points

A League Division 1 Round 3

Seneschalstown 2-07 St. Patrick’s 1-12

The difficult start to 2017 for Seneschalstown’s Senior side continued on Sunday when they led a second half lead slip from their grasp as they went down to a two point defeat to St. Patrick’s in a windswept Fr. Tully Park.

This defeat leaves the team without a win from their opening three games of the League and came despite the fact players such as Brian Sheridan, Niall Hickey and Sean Noonan were available for selection for the first time this year.

8 point defeat in Ashbourne

2017 A League Division 1 Round 2

Donaghmore/Ashbourne 1-14 Seneschalstown 0-09

Following a late pitch inspection from referee Jason Plunkett, the senior sides from Donaghmore/Ashbourne took to the field of play in Ashbourne in front a crowd which was well sheltered from the biting wind which blew directly down the field of play towards the town goal.

Heavy defeat in League opener

2017 A League Division 1 Round 1

Seneschalstown 1-08 Na Fianna 3-15

The 2017 League campaign got off to a disappointing start for Seneschalstown on Sunday as they fell to a thirteen point defeat to Na Fianna in Fr. Tully Park after a somewhat lacklustre display. Trailing by ten points at the interval after hitting ten wides, they managed to rack up a few more scores in the second period but could never get close enough to spark strong hopes of a comeback.

Gaels prove too strong

Seneschalstown 10 – 10 to O’Mahonys 10 – 05

U-16 Girls clinch final place in a thriller

Meath Ladies Division 2 Championship Semi-Final

Seneschalstown 4-09 Na Fianna 2-12

Oh Wow!, on a glorious evening in Fr. Tully Park and with great home support and lots of curious potential finalists eyeing up the two teams the young Seneschalstown U-16 Ladies served up a thriller to beat a wonderful Na Fianna side in an absolute cracker of a game that had everything.

Having met earlier in the Championship where Na Fianna totally dominated the Furze Girls beating them 9-13 to 3-03, there was a steely determination from the Boynesiders that was evident before a ball was thrown in.

Time runs out on fightback

Meath U-13 Division 2 Round 2

St. Cuthbert’s 2-11 Seneschalstown 3-07

A fine second half comeback from five points behind at the break of play just came up short for Seneschalstown’s U-13’s on Saturday afternoon in Sean Newman Park.

Having gotten off to a slow start in terms of scoring the team found their shooting boots in the second half with substitutes Daragh Cantwell being very influential. Kearney showed his scoring prowess as he racked up a goal and two points while Cathal Darby set up a grandstand finish as he netted with three minutes remaining.

15's acquit themselves well in 7's

Due to a number of teams not showing up there was a change to the original fixtures so our first game was against a very strong Clan Na Gael outfit and both teams traded scores for the first half and at half time the scores were; Seneschalstown 0–06 Clan Na Gael 0-04.

In the second half the Seneschalstown lads really settled into the game and pressed hard all over the pitch eventually running out 8 pt. winners, final score;
Seneschalstown 0-14 Clann Na Gael 0-06

Clan Na Gael went on to win the shield competition.
