Seneschalstown picked up a fourth win on the trot and moved into a great position to qualify for the semi-finals of the Premier FC Division 4 after a big victory over St. Michael’s on Thursday evening.

Seneschalstown’s second string went down to their second defeat of the Premier Football Championship Division 1 when Dunshaughlin came to Fr. Tully Park on Monday evening. Just like the last round, numbers were tight for the hosts and in the end Dunshaughlin’s ability to bring in fresh legs was probably the decisive factor in swinging the game in their favour.

Missing a number of regulars for various reasons, an under strength Seneschalstown side went down to their first defeat in this year’s Premier Football Championship Division 1. Arriving in the Heritage town with only 16 players, three of which were nominally goalkeepers, Seneschalstown managed to keep pace with their hosts for 40 minutes before ultimately running out of gas in the final quarter.

The proverbial game of two halves materialised in the Ladies Div 5 Rd 7 clash between Royal Gaels and Seneschalstown played in Dunshaughlin.

Seneschalstown Junior C Ladies qualified for the Junior C championship Semi-Final with victory over old rivals St Ultans in Fr Tully Park.

The first half was a tight affair and Anna Wogan put the home team in front with a point from play but the visitors scored their first goal shortly afterwards. It took the home team a while to get going and two points from Shirley Quinn kept the home team in touch.

On all previous form the clash of Seneschalstown and Simonstown Gaels was expected to be a tight encounter on Wednesday evening in Round 2 of the LMFM MFC and while the scoreline might look like the home side won it at their ease, the reality is quite different. Simonstown will look back on the match and identify key moments where lapses of concentration and small errors proved very costly as Seneschalstown took full advantage of any opening which appeared.

Seneschalstown GFC

Seneschalstown GFC is small rural club from the Beauparc/Kentstown parish situated about 6 miles east of Navan and 3 miles south of Slane.
The club has a proud history in all levels of GAA football over the years and more recently with our Ladies teams.
The club has enjoyed much success in all competitions and has been fortunate to have many players represent the county teams with distinction.
