This promising Seneschalstown side continued to produce their attractive brand of football based on teamwork and a never say die attitude.
Boardsmill got off to the better start aided by a gale force wind kicking three early points while Seneschalstown endeavoured to come to terms with the conditions. An early point from captain Stacey Grimes steadied the ship as Seneschalstown really dug deep to contain matters. A goal by Boardsmill was quickly equalised by a Shauna Fitzgerald shot to the net which left a half time score line of Boardsmill 1-05 – Seneschalstown 1-01
Seneschalstown started the second half with their teamwork ethic in full flow and now playing with a strong wind on their backs they played more direct football and so scores began to notch up. With goals from Kelly Smith, Aoife Lenihan and a second from Shauna Fitzgerald, Seneschalstown had finally weather the storm and overcame Boardsmill comfortably in the end.
