On a very wet night Seneschalstown ladies played Moylough away in the Feis Cup with a win important to stay in contention in the competition. The latest player to become ineligible was Adelle Carolan who played for Meath senior in qualifiers against Down.
With six players unavailable and nine players ineligible to play Feis cup because they played for Meath seniors this year or last Seneschalstown Ladies fielded 14 players in this key Feis cup game.

On a very wet night Seneschalstown ladies played Moylough away in the Feis Cup with a win important to stay in contention in the competition. The latest player to become ineligible was Adelle Carolan who played for Meath senior in qualifiers against Down.
With six players unavailable and nine players ineligible to play Feis cup because they played for Meath seniors this year or last Seneschalstown Ladies fielded 14 players in this key Feis cup game.
Elaine Dillon took over the captain’s armband and lead from the back with Siobhan Sheridan enjoying her midfield role catching some excellent balls. Half way through the first half the diverse Hazel Bownes moved to left half back to curb the influence of the Moylough left half forward.
In a very exciting game similar to the epic battle against St.Michael’s in the same competition Seneschalstown simply refused to get beaten in a very tight affair. Some very tough tackling from Moylough was a feature of the game which resulted in a number of Seneschalstown players picking up injuries at key points in the game.
Seneschalstown went two points down with minutes to go but staged a late comeback interception by Aonhaid McAdam and two defence splitting runs by Orla Sheridan. These runs resulted in an excellently taken goal by Deborah Dillon and a late chance for Lucinda Healy who narrowly missed.
With the opposition able to bring on fresh players, Seneschalstowns fitness was important factor in a game with 14 aside. Moylough now look forward to the intermediate championship semi final against Na Fianna.
