Seneschalstown 2-14 Dunboyne 3-3

Seneschalstown Ladies first league game of the year resulted in home win over 2008 league winners Dunboyne. Sister act Roisin and Grainne Nulty dominated the first half score board for the home side with six points between them. Grainne McGowan and the excellent Emma Harris chipped in with a point each but it was Dunboyne who finished the first half with 1-1 to leave them only one point adrift at half time.

Seneschalstown Ladies first league game of the year resulted in home win over 2008 league winners Dunboyne. Sister act Roisin and Grainne Nulty dominated the first half score board for the home side with six points between them. Senseschalstown lost midfielder Siobhain Sheridan and Linda Quinn with head injuries; indeed the injury received by Quinn resulted in Dunboyne finishing the game with 14 players. With defenders Elaine Byrne, Deborah Dillon and Aonhait McAdam to the fore and midfield pairing of Eimear O’Carroll and Mena Sheridan dominating, Seneschalstown moved up a gear in the second period.

In an entertaining game with some excellent passages of play sisters Aoife and Emer Sheridan rounded off the nights scoring with a goal and point respectively. 2006 all-star Grainne Nulty excelled throughout and finished with a personal tally of 1-6.
