Seneschalstown maintained their unbeaten run in the SFC with a comprehensive victory over Simonstown in the second round played at Simonstown on Wednesday evening.

Emma Harris opened the scoring for the visitors with a point and further points from Fiona Mahon, Orla Sheridan, Stephanie Byrne and Adele Carolan increased the Yellow Furze sides lead. Seneschalstown were guility of several wides during this half however a well taken goal from Sheridan inside the 2nd quarter laid the platform for a 1-9 to 1-1 half-time lead.

Simonstown, led by Sinead Dooley and Eve Wardick at midfield, continued to battle and despite plenty of possession were unable to reduce the deficit with good defending from Deborah Dillon, Philomena Sheridan and Louise McKeever in the Seneschalstown defence.

The visitors capitalised and increased their lead with further points from Eimear O’ Carroll, Mahon, Byrne and Harris for a comprehensive victory. Best for Seneschalstown were Dillon, McKeever, Mahon, Harris and Orla Sheridan.
