Seneschalstown 1-10 Summerhill 2-4

Seneschalstown secured their place in the SFC semi-final with their third round victory over Summerhill played in wet conditions in Summerhill last Wednesday evening.

Points from Stehanie Byrne, Emma Harris (2) and Eimear O’ Carroll in the opening half put the visitors into the lead hovever the home side responded with Jenny Rispin slotting home a penalty to leave the sides level at the interval (0-4 to 1-1).

Seneschalstown secured their place in the SFC semi-final with their third round victory over Summerhill played in wet conditions in Summerhill last Wednesday evening.

Points from Stehanie Byrne, Emma Harris (2) and Eimear O’ Carroll in the opening half put the visitors into the lead hovever the home side responded with Jenny Rispin slotting home a penalty to leave the sides level at the interval (0-4 to 1-1).

A goal from Adele Carolan following the break put the Seneschalstown girls into the lead however Rispin added a second penalty to keep her side in contention. With Stephanie Byrne and Siobhan Sheridan excelling at midfield the visitors began to dominate the exchanges and further points from Byrne, Orla Sheridan, Harris and subsitute Aurlita Everitt increased their lead. Goalkeeper Louise Byrne, Philomena Sheridan, Regina Everitt and Edel McGrane worked hard to maintain the Yellow Furze sides lead and Byrne, Harris and Adele Carolan were others to impress.
