Junior B
On Sunday evening last our Junior B’s qualified for the Seamus Connolly Catering JBFC Final for the second consecutive year when overcoming a stiff Slane challenge by 0-15 to 1-08 in Trim.

The scoring was tit for tat early on before Slane were boosted when grabbing a goal to go in a point up at the interval. Our players upped their performance in the second half and with the defence outstanding held Slane to just two points over the thirty minutes.

The final has been provisionally scheduled for Sunday October 4th although this is still to be confimed. Our opponents will be known following the second semi-final which will take place on Saturday in Páirc Tailteann at 16:00 between Moynalty and St. Vincents.

Junior D
Following the near miss in 2013 and the semi-final loss in 2014 we managed to win the JDFC for the second time on Saturday afternoon when overcoming Curraha by 3-11 to 2-10. Team captain Francis Sheridan lifter the Liam Creavin Cup following an excellent team display over the course of the hour.

Eoin Finnegan led the scoring with 2-04 and was ably supported by Ryan O’Dowd in particular who helped himself to 1-03. Others to impress in the victory were Colin Walsh who gave a powerhouse performance at the back, Niall Hickey and David Hosie while the contribution of Terry Maguire at midfield was also notable.

An example of the dedication which went into the efforts of the team and management is the fact that selector Leo Sheridan came on a round trip of 4962km to get home for the final from a holiday in Rome.
