On what looked like a summers day in October the Seneschalstown team gave up home advantage and played in Walterstown due to ongoing drainage works which are being carried out in Fr. Tully Park.

The first half saw the side in blue hold their own, put some good passages of play together and take the game to Walterstown. By the break Seneschalstown had managed to open up the slenderest of advantages and led by a point 1-05 to 1-04.

The second half saw Seneschalstown find it very tough to get any type of rhythm going and the scoring seemed to dry up but they had some really good performances in defence. Zach Sheridan played his heart out and alongside him in the full back line Darragh Cantwell also impressed while in the full forward line there was a man of the match performance from Jack Owens as he ended up with a personal tally of 1-06 all from play.

Despite Seneschalstown’s best efforts Walterstown were the stronger team on the day and ran out easy winners in the end.
