Seneschalstown 2-14 Navan O’Mahonys 1-09

It was a wet and windy evening in Fr. Tully Park on Sunday and while there was many a dog in the parish wouldn’t venture outside the Seneschalstown Senior Ladies took to the field as they looked to secure vital points in the battle to maintain their Division 1 status.

The home side got off to a great start as they registered the first six scores of the game and by half time had extended their lead to 2-08 to 0-03.

The home side got off to a great start as they registered the first six scores of the game and by half time had extended their lead to 2-08 to 0-03.

In the second half the O’Mahonys Ladies came out with all guns blazing as they looked to haul themselves back into the game and managed to reel off 1-03 before Seneschalstown scored again. However this was as close as they managed to get as Seneschalstown got their mojo back and finding an extra gear had carved out an eight point lead by the death, 2-14 to 1-09.
