New Pitch
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, those living locally and those not so locally we are delighted to announce that we have so far raised half of our €350,000 target for developing our new sand based All Weather pitch. The contributions which our generous supporters have given us towards this fundraising drive is greatly appreciated.

U-12
Congratulations to our U-12’s who after two epic tussles edged out Skryne on Monday evening in Skryne by 24 scores to 23.
We cannot emphasise how much teamwork played a part in both performances tonight. Workrate, passing and overall play was the result of bringing what they are learning on the training field into the matches at the weekends. The coaches are really impressed.
Player of the Match for team yellow was Cian Rooney. He gave a commanding midfield performance tonight that included high fielding, distribution and score taking of the highest order with no end of hard work from a defensive point of view which proved vital in the end result of a tight tussle with neighbours, Skryne.
Player of the match for team Blue was Danny Waters. Having started in goals Danny’s kickouts were right out of the Cluxton top draw! Pinpoint and accurate, moving to midfield at the start of the 2nd half his energy spurred on the whole team returning to goals to finish off a memorable day out.
Great credit also goes to Skryne who played excellent football in both games and more than played their part in making them classics.
Coaching for the team continues at 13:00 on Saturday in Kentstown.

Meath Ladies U-16
The U-16’s kept their good form up when overcoming Kildare last Saturday by 7-07 to 2-05 in the Leinster Championship. Aoife Lenehan was a substitute while Sorcha Gough was unavailable for selection.
Next up is a match against Louth on Saturday at 14:00 in Knockbridge.
Meath Ladies U-14
Commiserations to the Meath U-14’s who lost out to Kildare last Saturday in the Leister Championship by 2-11 to 2-06 in Dunganny. Aoibhe and Caragh Monaghan were unavailable for selection.
The girls are back in action this weekend when they take on Westmeath in Dunganny on Saturday at 14:00 and we wish Aoibhe, Caragh, Lauren D, Lauren Mc and Orla all the best.
Colleges Football
Congratulations to Seanaidh Hickey who was an integral part of the St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra team which took home the Giles Cup last weekend from Kerry.
Team of the Week.
We now select a team of the week chosen from the various teams across the different spectrums of the club and based upon the match reports received and feedback from the different team managers.
This week’s selection is our second team and was as follows – Ruairí McDonagh (Minor), Orla McMahon (Senior Ladies), Mena Sheridan (Senior Ladies), Sean Carey (Minor), Brian Maguire (Minor), Natasha Mullen (Senior Ladies), Shona Loughran (Senior Ladies), Mary Murray (Senior Ladies), Daire Finnegan (Minor), Joseph Moore (Minor), Kiah Geraghty (Senior Ladies), Alan Mulvany (Minor), Cathal Finnegan (Minor), Marc Horrigan (Minor) and Stephanie Byrne (Senior Ladies).
Player of the Week
Congratulations to our latest Player of the Week Joseph Moore.
Joseph played two games for the Minors in the past week and in each one had a major influence on proceedings.
Between the two matches he hit 2-02 from play as well as almost breaking the crossbar with a shot in Longwood.
It’s great to see a player come on to the Minor team with a fearless attitude and grab the opportunity with both hands.
Playing U-16 and Minor Joseph is going to have a busy season and no doubt will continue to work hard and improve all facets of his game.
Last Man Standing Update
Coming up to the final 2 rounds of out “Last Man Standing” Competition, there are only 17 participants left with a chance to claim the status of being Seneschalstown’s Last Man Standing.
Even with another massive win for Roscommon over the weekend, only two people were knocked out of the running.
With most of the big teams like Dublin and Monaghan now used, it is now down to outside choices like Cavan, Derry and Down to see who will make it to the last and final round.
Keep a close eye on this page as the winner is not far away from being announced!
121 Fitness Sponsorship
Last Thursday before training Darrel Smith from 121 Fitness presented the Senior players with tops which he sponsored.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Darrel for his generous sponsorship of these tops which will help ensure the team is one of the best turned out in the county during the season.
Juvenile Meeting
There is a General Meeting of the Juvenile section of the club on Monday at 20:00 in the clubhouse.
The season is getting into full swing now so a big attendance would be great as we plan out the year.
Club Lotto
The numbers drawn in this week’s Lotto were 15, 19, 25 and 27. There was no winner of the jackpot of €10,000 which means next week’s jackpot will once more be worth €10,000. The 5 by €25 winners were Johnny Tallon, Ann Yore, Maria McGovern, Mena Bowens and Brendan Reilly
Tickets for the Lotto are €2 or 3 for €5. They can be purchased from committee members, Lotto sellers, local shops or you can also play online at http://www.helpourclub.ie/localhome.asp?
