Senior: Our Senior team will be in action on Friday evening when they play St. Peters Dunboyne in the Feis Cup Final in Páirc Tailteann. The game is now scheduled to throw in at 18:45. The team will be looking to bring the cup back to Fr. Tully Park for an eight ever time and for the first time since 2008, when they beat next Friday’s opposition in the final. That match was a thriller with Seneschalstown eventually emerging as winners by three points, 4-15 to 2-18 with Bryan Clarke helping himself to 3-03.
Junior B: A week after the Feis Cup Final it will be another case of Friday Night Lights when our Junior B team contest the Seamus Connolly Catering Junior B Football Championship Final against Wolfe Tones at 20:15. Like the Feis Cup Final this match will also be played in Páirc Tailteann.
Their path to the final was secured on Sunday when they overturned a five point half time deficit to beat Duleek Bellewstown by 1-12 to 1-08. Crucial to this was a blistering ten minute spell after half time when they kicked a goal and five points.
Minor: The Minor team are fixed to play Gaeil Colmcille on Saturday at 17:30 in Fr. Tully Park in Round 1 of their Championship.
U-15: the U-15 team travelled to Gibbstown on Saturday afternoon and against a very strong opponent lost out by 4-09 to 3-03.
Next up is a home game against Gaeil Colmcille in Fr. Tully Park on Saturday at 16:00.
U-13: The U-13 team had a busy but productive few days last week when playing on Thursday and Sunday.
On Thursday they played host to Trim and after being level at half time pulled away for a comfortable victory in the second half. The team and scorers as they won by 6-14 to 0-09 were –

Then on Sunday they had the short journey to Navan when they had a narrow success, Navan O’Mahonys 2-07 Seneschalstown 1-14.

U-12: Our U-12 team will be in action in the finals of the Meath U-12 seven a side tournament which will be held this Saturday afternoon in Simonstown.
U-11: Our U-11 team will be in action against Wolfe Tones in Gibbstown on Wednesday evening at 18:45.
Seneschalstown Nursery: The U-10 team played Duleek Bellewstown in Fr. Tully Park on Saturday morning when they had two matches of very high quality. Photgraphs from the matches can be seen on our Facebook page.
Next Saturday they are due to have a Go Games Blitz along with our U-8 team while our U-6’s will have coaching in Fr. Tully Park.
Girls U-13: Girls U13 Division 2 Round 3
Seneschalstown 4-5 Skryne 2-10
The girls made it three wins from three when they narrowly defeated Skryne at Fr Tully Park.
This was the proverbial game of two halves as Seneschalstown dominated the first half and had to withstand and great comeback by the visitors in the second half to hold on for a one point win.
The opening exchanges were tight and competitive and both teams squandered good scoring chances. The first score arrived on nine minutes for the home team when Kelly Smith showed her soccer skills to score the opening goal. Skryne responded with a point on eleven minutes. The Furze girls went on a scoring spree over the next six minutes with goals from Sinead McLarney on twelve and fourteen minutes and points from Smith, Leanne Clarke (2) and McLarney. Skryne did respond with a goal in the sixteenth minute and also tagged on two further points before the break. However Smith scored her second goal just before the break to give the home team a 4-04 to 1-03 halftime lead.
The early exchanges of the second half were tight but slowly Skryne began to get the upper hand and cut the deficit down to three points. Aoibhe Monaghan relieved the home team’s anxiety a little with a point from play but the Skryne girls kept the coming. Three further points from Skryne and some resolute defending resulted in the home team holding on to keep their 100% start to the league campaign intact.
