Schools Coaching: This coming Friday, June 13th, we will hold a Festival of Football in Kentstown with the boys and girls of Yellow Furze NS and Kentstown NS from second to fifth class. This will be an opportunity for all the children to show off the skills which they have been learning throughout the year as part of our Club/School Link. Over the years the schools have proved to be brilliant at nurturing the talents of the promising players in the parish and many of our current senior stars would have played Cumann na mBunscol football with them. No doubt there will be players in action on Friday who will go on to represent Meath in the future as well.

The first ball will be thrown in at 09:45 with the children of second class in action and will conclude with fifth class.

Senior: The Senior team defeated Rathkenny in Round 1 of the Feis Cup in Fr. Tully Park on Saturday evening on a scoreline of 6-13 to 1-07. They will now face St. Patrick’s in Ashbourne in the Quarter Final on Sunday June 22nd at 12:00.

Their next League match is at home against Simonstown Gaels on Friday June 13th at 20:00 and they will play Wolfe Tones in Fr. Tully Park on Wednesday June 18th at 20:00.

Junior D: The Junior D team will play their next Championship match against Dunderry in Kilberry on Saturday June 21st at 18:30.

Under 12: The U-12 team play host to St. Marys on Thursday June 12th, in Fr. Tully Park at 19:00 in a challenge match. Last week they had an excellent challenge match against St. Colmcilles.

Seneschalstown Nursery: The latest Go Games Blitz took place in Fr. Tully Park on Saturday morning with the club hosting the future stars of Motnalvey and Summerhill. A great morning was had by all with the standard of football very high. Our thanks to all who helped with the organising and running of the event, especially all who helped out by baking and serving up the food as well as our Young Whistler Shane Mulvany for refereeing six games over the course of the morning.

Coaching for the U-10, U-8 and U-6 children will continue on Saturday in Seneschalstown at 11:00.

Girls U-14: Girls U-14 training continues on Wednesdays from 18.30 to 19.30.

Girls U-12: Our U-12 Girls team will take on Na Fianna in their League Final in St. Patrick’s Stamullen on Friday June 13th at 19:00. The girls were defeated by Na Fianna by one point earlier in the campaign and a large support would be greatly appreciated to cheer them on as they bid to get their hands on some silverware.

Girls U-10: Girls U-10 continues on Mondays from 18.30 to 19.30.

Seneschalstown GFC Golf Classic: Our Annual Golf Classic will take place in Royal Tara on Friday July 4th. Entry for a team of 4 is €200. To book a team or for further information contact Alan Geraghty (086 8265528).

Club Competition: With the summer holidays just around the corner we have decided it’s a great time to have a photo competition. The prize will be a year’s family membership for 2015 for one lucky family.

We are going to spread the Seneschalstown gospel across the world but need your help.

We are looking for photos of our juvenile members on their holidays wearing their Seneschalstown gear. The photo can be taken in Bundoran, Barcelona or Boston ……

Another option would be to take a photo at a famous landmark such as Buckingham Palace!

So get snapping and send the photo in via a Private Message to our Facebook Page. The draw to decide the lucky winner will take place on the first Saturday in September during the Seneschalstown Nursery.
