Joe Sheridan opened his hat trick of goals for the Yellow Furze side with a well struck goal which put them 1-01 in front within 90 seconds from kick off. Brian Sheridan opened his fine tally of scores with 3 points, two from frees, before poor defending from Seneschalstown led to 2 goals from David Morgan and Eoin Reilly within minutes of one another. Donaghmore Ashbourne then added 3 more points before Joe reduced the deficit with another goal just before the break of half time which left the sides level at 2-06 a piece.
Seneschalstown started the second half well with Joe Sheridan hitting the back of the net again within a minute of the restart. Brian Sheridan slotted over a point from play before a mistake in Donaghmore Ashbourne’s defence led to a goal from substitute Joey Macken. The home side had a slow restart before Brodrick scored a point from play. Brian Sheridan increased the Seneschalstown score board with 3 more points (1 free) before Donaghmore Ashbourne added 2 points from play before the final whistle.
