Meath substitute goalkeeper and Skryne’s number one, Patrick O’Rourke, turned goal poacher on Wednesday of last week as he inspired the Tara men to a narrow A FL Div 1 victory over Seneschalstown.
A repeat of last year’s league decider produced a hugely entertaining game as Skryne turned around a 0-4 to 0-8 interval deficit.
O’Rourke bagged the first of his two goals seven minutes after the restart and he edged Skryne ahead with a brace of points before Seneschalstown regained the initiative.

After an exchange of points Seneschalstown led by the minimum with five minutes remaining, but O’Rourke sealed the win for Skryne with his second goal.
