B FL Div 3
Mon 10th Jun Nobber 1-13 Seneschalstown 0-09
Seneschalstown’s second string gave their worst performance of the year when going under to Nobber in the “B” league. An exchange of points in the first few minutes was as close as the furze team got and the concession of a
penalty after 10 minutes which was superbly finished had the furzemen playing catch-up for the remainder. Nobber’s ability to create space and score was in stark contrast to the loser’s laboured approach and Nobber led at the break by 1-6 to 0-4.

The half time introduction of Cormac Duffy and Ruairi Coogan didn’t improve matters although a brief spell of dominance after the break was wasted by an inability to make it count on the score board. The half time margin was maintained throughout the second half as Nobber picked off some excellent points and quelled any threat of a Seneschalstown comeback. The one positive from the game was the return to action of Brian Collier, home from his studies for the summer. Best for the Furzemen who were without Seamus O’Brien, Paul Carey, Colin Gleeson and top scorer Brian Clarke were Mark Keating, Paul Finnegan and Brian Collier.
